Tap-to-scan, explained
Every LifeTap wristband has a small NFC (Near Field Communication) chip built into the tag — the same kind of technology used for contactless payments. No app, battery, or Bluetooth pairing required. Anyone with a modern smartphone can access your emergency profile in seconds by simply tapping their phone against the tag.
1. Set up your profile
After your wristband arrives, you'll create a secure online medical profile in just a few minutes. Add what matters most in an emergency: your name and emergency contacts, allergies, medical conditions, current medications, your blood type, and any other details you want first responders to know. You can update this information anytime, as often as you need.
2. Wear it every day
The adjustable, water-resistant nylon band is built for all-day wear, so your information is with you wherever you go — at work, at school, exercising, or traveling.
3. First responders tap to access
First responders and emergency medical personnel are trained to look for medical alert symbols like the one on your LifeTap tag. When they spot it, they can tap a smartphone directly against the chip, and your emergency profile opens instantly on their screen — no login, no app download, no waiting. In a moment when every second counts, the right information can reach the right hands immediately.
Privacy, on your terms
You control exactly what appears on your profile and can update or remove information whenever you like. LifeTap is designed to share only what you choose, only when it's needed most.
